If you’re in Melbourne in winter then there’s only one game in town and that’s AFL football! The season kicks off in a couple of weeks and if you are interested in checking out Australia’s favourite sport you can do so for FREE at the Welcome Game on March 23rd.
Now in its third year, The Welcome Game is an inclusive event that promotes a message of welcoming everyone to Australian football, the MCG and the Melbourne Football Club with thousands of free tickets given away to visitors, new migrants and international students.
Going to a new game for the first time can be daunting, but Melbourne FC fans are some of the most friendly and welcoming in the world and keen to welcome newbies (like you) at a match.
