Head to WOMADelaide 2020

womadelaide 2020

If you’re studying and living in Adelaide, you’ll want to make sure you head to WOMADelaide 2020 between 6-9 March. It’s an incredibly unique festival that every Adelaidean should experience at least once, packed with fantastic world music, food and fun things to do.

WOMADelaide is a celebration of multiculturalism that brings together the best world music and performance artists from all over the globe. From India to France to South Africa to Australia and everywhere in between, artists come from practically everywhere to perform in Adelaide each year. This year features a cool and eclectic line-up of acts including Laura Marling, and Ziggy Marley, so there’s sure to be something to suit all tastes.

You’ll also find stalls selling all kinds of products and food from around the world. Locals often bring a picnic blanket and set up for a day on the grass, using their picnic spot as a hub between shows.

And if you attend the University of South Australia or Adelaide University, you really have no excuse not to go along – most of the action takes place near both campuses in Botanic Park.

For more information on the festival and to book tickets, head to the WOMADelaide website.
