Parramatta CBD
Known as Sydney’s “second CBD”, Parramatta is a hub for arts, culture and history. Parramatta houses Greater Western Sydney’s premier performing arts centre, Riverside Theatre and Cinema. With more than 1,000 events per year, there’s something here to suit everybody’s taste. Films, plays, musicals – there is no shortage of entertainment! If you’re interested in the city’s history, walk along the Parramatta River all the way up to Old Government House. Located in the picturesque Parramatta Park, this was the country residence of the first 10 governors. Fun fact: both spots are actually listed as World Heritage Australian Convict Sites.
