Adelaide Students: Receive Free Food Assistance at the OzHarvest Mobile Market

Insider Guides is proud to be joining forces with StudyAdelaide to support OzHarvest in assisting international students in need through the OzHarvest Mobile Market.

The OzHarvest Mobile Market will be trialed the week commencing Monday 29 June. Taking place at various locations across Adelaide, the goal is to provide international students who are struggling financially with free groceries, fresh produce and pre-prepared meals.

The OzHarvest team, along with volunteers from Insider Guides (come and say hello!) and StudyAdelaide’s Student Ambassadors, will deliver hampers and individual food items at Flinders University (Monday), Hindmarsh Square Adelaide (Tuesday and Friday), Regency TAFE (Tuesday), and the University of South Australia Mawson Lakes campus (Wednesday).

As shared by Lyndall Vandenberg, OzHarvest’s SA State Manager:

“While our bright, yellow food rescue vans continue to provide daily food relief to local charities supporting people in need, the Mobile Market is a temporary extension of this assistance. The food items selected for students to use are highly nutritious, staple items such as tinned tomatoes, pasta and baked beans, as well as an assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables.”
