Dry Nights in Sydney: Fun Things to do in Sydney Without Alcohol

sydney

Looking for a fun night out in Sydney, minus the drinking and next day hangover?

Try some of these activities for a great night out:

Get close to nature

Sydney and surrounds are the perfect place to spend a night camping under the stars and explore some night trails.  You can get campsite maps and other info from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.

You can also go stargazing the Sydney Observatory and get of glimpse of the skies from the Southern Hemisphere. Keep your eyes peeled for the Southern Cross!

Or, watch the sunset (or sunrise) at one of many beautiful beaches, Manly and Bondi are very popular.

See some sports

Sydney is probably only second to Melbourne when it comes to hosting sporting events. It’s not difficult to find a night match to enjoy. Check out its full calendar of sporting events for AFL, rugby, cricket, tennis and much more.

Check out the entertainment, shopping, and the views!

Sydney’s live music scene is also absolutely jam-packed. You can find its concert and gig guide here. If you’re not into live music, there are many cafes and nightclubs where you can just hang out with friends or dance the night away.

In the Summertime, you can watch advance screenings, new releases and cult classics at  Sydney’s Moonlight Cinema.

For some late-night shopping and snacking, try the Chinatown Night Markets or The Redfern Night Markets.

Darling Harbour is probably one of the most famous in the world.  Whether you’re looking to indulge yourself in one of the many restaurants, watch the Saturday fireworks or simply take a stroll by the water, an evening spent at Darling Harbour is always one you’ll  remember.

Finally, for the best view in town, catch a sunset from the top of the Sydney Tower Eye.
