What digital offering do you have?
Insider Guides has a range of online value-adds to guide advertisers, including sponsored posts, e-newsletter promotion and more.
When do international students get guides?
Offshore Guides – students are still considering their options for city, institution, accommodation and more.
Onshore Guides – students have arrived in Australia, and receive the guides during orientation and throughout the year.
How are the guides distributed?
Offshore Guides:
- China guide – distributed by IDP China staff and the Chinese Ministry of Education staff across 30 cities through student workshops, events, consultations and more.
- Vietnam guide – distributed through 200 agents across the country to prospective international students. We also work closely with StudentLife Care International who help us deliver guides to students and agents throughout Vietnam.
- IDP guide – distributed exclusively through IDP offices across 19 countries in Asia, Middle East and the Sub-Continent.
Onshore Guides:
The Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra guides are distributed by universities, colleges, airport welcome desks, events, TAFEs, tourism hotspots and more. They are a major part of student orientation in these cities due to the quality of the content, and as such, have highly targeted distribution to international students.
Other magazines are removed from campus. Insider Guides are heavily requested by the international offices on campus. This is our unique distribution method.
The Media Kit only offers full page adverts. What about half page?
We only sell full page adverts. This means the guides retain a high-quality style and advertisers get maximum exposure.
We would like to give Insider Guides to our students. If we buy advertising, do we get preference for distributing city guides?
Yes. We take care of those that help us keep the guide free for students.
Who writes the content in Insider Guides?
We employ student writers around Australia to write about their city. We also research topics and work with governments to ensure our guides are best practice and cover major issues for international students.
How do I know if the ad worked?
We can ensure your adverts get to the right students, in the right locations, at the right time. We will also provide you with a report card, including any feedback, images and insights.
