Are you working while you study in Australia or do you plan to pick up some work during your breaks from study?

It’s very important to keep a record of the hours you work. Such records will help you check that you have been paid correctly, or approach your employer if you think there has been a mistake with your pay.

Find out how you can record your shifts, the hours you work and details about your pay all in one place.

The Fair Work Ombudsman’s free Record My Hours app makes it quick and easy for you to record and store the hours you work, as well as other information about your employment.

What does Record My Hours do?

The app allows you to automatically keep track of the hours you work, and reminds you about future shifts. You can also take photos of information that belongs to you or you’re allowed to access, like your payslips.

You can instantly retrieve recorded information if an issue about your pay or roster arises.

The data in the app can be exported via email to be saved securely somewhere, shared with your employer or even with the Fair Work Ombudsman if you have questions about your pay or other work benefits.

The app is available in 12 languages including Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean and Hindi.

Is my data private?

Yes. You control how you share this information. No data is stored centrally.
