This week Insider Guides joined forces with StudyAdelaide to support OzHarvest at the OzHarvest Mobile Market. The goal was to provide international students in need with free groceries, fresh produce and pre-prepared meals at locations across Adelaide.
StudyAdelaide Ambassador, Shanjaye, who volunteered his time helping with the seamless running of the event, shared that the mood at the various Market pop-ups was incredibly positive.
“I think the students feel like this event is really helpful for them, they feel really thankful – it’s helping them with their daily needs, and we’re seeing food not go to waste,” he said. “I understand what international students go through, and I know how much this event would mean to them.”
