It’s no secret that a massive amount of New Year’s Resolutions revolve around ‘eating healthier’, and while this used to mean existing on nothing but dry chicken breast, brown rice and broccoli, in the year 2025, we know that just isn’t the case.

We’ve put together a list of some of the best Aussie TikTok food creators that you can (and should!) follow for nourishing, vibrant and most importantly DELICIOUS meals that will keep you belly happy and your goals ticking along.

Michael Finch (@michaelfinch)

Michael Finch is no stranger in the online community, having first started out as a beauty influencer over a decade ago. A few years back, he flipped from makeup to cooking, and we couldn’t be happier. His recipes are comforting, and his commentary is full of that good old Aussie humour.

He’s probably most well known for his Buldak ramen videos, but personally, we’re huge fans of his take on the Green Goddess salad.

@michaelfinch

GREEN GOD SALAD - 1/2 green cabbage - 2 large cucumbers - 1/2 bunch spring onions - 1 fennel bulb (optional) - Fresh herbs, I used Parsley, coriander, chives & dill DRESSING: - 1 cup greek yogurt - 1 cup parsley (this will keep it bright green, sub for spinach) - Chives (small bunch) - Basil (small bunch) - 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil - 2 small garlic cloves - 1/2 shallot (optional) - 1 lemon, juiced - 2 tbsp spicy pickled jalapeños (optional) - 1/2 tbsp white or red wine vinegar - Salt and Pepper, to taste

Recipe Tin Eats (@recipetineats)

Nagi from Recipe Tin Eats has quickly become a household name over the last five years. Her recipes focus on turning fresh ingredients into quick, easy and cost-effective meals, and they are saviours for lazy cooks and budding chefs alike.

You can’t go wrong with any of her recipes, but her fried rice is always guaranteed to be a fan favourite.

@recipetineats

@Nigel Ng (Uncle Roger) - bring it on! N x ❤️ Fried Rice   2 tbsp oil 2 garlic cloves , minced 1/2 onion, finely chopped 120 g/4 oz bacon or ham, chopped (I like bacon, chunky bits better than thin slices) 1 - 1 1/2 cups frozen diced vegetables (I use peas, corn, carrots) 2 cups, packed, cooked white rice (must be day old refrigerated*) 2 - 3 eggs, whisked 1 green onion, finely sliced Sauce - mix: 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine, mirin or dry sherry (non alco – use ¼ cup chicken broth, will need to stir fry for a bit longer to evaporate) 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce 1 tbsp light soy sauce (or all purpose) 1/2 tsp sesame oil, recommended but optional 1/4 tsp white pepper   1. Heat about 1 1/2 tbsp oil in a wok or 2 tbsp oil in a skillet over high heat until smoking. 2. Add onion, garlic and bacon. Cook until bacon is light golden - about 1 1/2 minutes. 3. Add vegetables (still frozen is fine). Cook for 2 minutes so they defrost and water evaporates. 4. Add rice and Sauce ingredients. Cook for 1 1/2 minutes until liquid evaporates. 5. Shove rice to the side of the wok / skillet. Add 1/2 tbsp oil into the cleared space, shift wok so the heat is centred over the cleared space. Pour in egg then scramble - cook it through properly, don't "soft scramble". 6. Toss through rice with green onion, serve and enjoy!   * If not day old then fried rice will be sticky instead of fluffy #recipetineats #uncleroger

Elli (@elli.tamar)

Elli is all about simple, budget-friendly cooking, and she has lots of great tips for how to sneak more vegetables into your diet. Bonus - she also shares some amazing traditional Jewish recipes on her page!

Our favourite of her recipes is her hidden veg pasta - it's to trick children into eating more vegetables, but as adults, it's an easy way to pre-batch a nutritious meal, perfect for uni lunches.

@elli.tamar

Replying to @Lauren take your saddest, oldest veggies and turn them into a kid approved masterpiece 💫 What I used in my sauce: - 500g tomatoes - 1 zucchini - Olive oil - garlic, salt and pepper - Italian herbs - ricotta cheese - soft tofu - a dash of water (depending on desired thickness). Roast all the veggies with seasonings until soft. Blend together with cheese and tofu. Add a dash of water if you want the sauce thinner. Add to cooked, drained pasta. DONE 🙌🏻 #whaticookformykids #hiddenveggiepasta #easydinnersforkids #easyweeknightmeals #vegetariandinnerideas #whatmykidseat

Aims (@aims.lc)

Aims is best known for her ‘We Don’t Waste Anything’ series, and while a lot of her content focuses on reusing the things her kids don’t eat (like her toast crust granola, which is actually delish). Her recipes and tips are useful to anyone who’s ever wondered what to do with that random ingredient that’s about to expire in the back of the pantry.

If you’re looking for a fun way to eat more fibre, her chickpea protein cookies are very tasty!

Andy Cooks (@andy_cooks)

A seasoned chef (pun intended), Andy is all about empowering people to make their own restaurant-worthy meals at home. He went viral for his ‘Hey, babe’ series, where he asks his partner what she’d like to have for lunch and then whips it up on camera, but any of his recipes will be sure to delight you and your loved ones.

If you’re looking for a place to start, why not give one of his classic stir-fry sauces a go?

Thriving on Plants (@thrivingonplants)

One for the vegan/vegan-curious folk out there. Cherie calls herself an ‘advocate for eating more plants’, and her recipes definitely make us want to do exactly that. She makes a lot of Asian inspired recipes, as well as a range of smoothies, sweets and even mock meats.

You won’t go wrong with any of her recipes, but her crispy pan-fried tofu may be the best thing we’ve ever eaten.

@thrivingonplants

Crispy Pan Fried Tofu 😍 As the biggest tofu lover, my fridge is always stocked up with all kinds of tofu. It’s affordable, high in protein and there are SO many ways to cook it!! For EP 7 of ✨High Protein Vegan✨, let me show you one of my favourite staple recipes using @Evergreen Foods hard tofu (1 block has 156g of protein!) 👉 You can find their products across Woolies, IGA, Costco, Asian grocers and more 🛒🍃 (AD) Ingredients
1 block (650g) Evergreen Hard Tofu
Cornstarch, to coat (optional, see step 2)
Oil, for frying
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tsp sugar or sweetener of choice
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
Method:
1. Open the tofu packet and remove the tofu from packaging. Slice into thin rectangular pieces. 2. Add some cornstarch onto a plate and lightly coat each piece in the cornstarch.
2. Heat a frypan on medium high heat and coat the base of the pan with oil. Once hot, dust off any excess cornstarch and pop the tofu slices in. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden and crispy then flip and repeat on the other side. You will need to do this in 2 or 3 batches depending on the size of your frypan.
3. Once the tofu has cooked on both sides, turn the heat down to low. Mix together the soy sauce, sugar and black pepper. Pour into the pan and toss the tofu in the sauce until evenly coated. Turn off the heat and finish off with the sesame oil.
4. Serve and enjoy! Make sure you grab a packet of Evergreen Hard Tofu next time you do a shop. I also LOVE their silken tofu and tofu puffs!! 🫶🏼 Notes: *Yes, you can skip the cornstarch step and directly fry in oil, it’ll still turn out delicious! But the cornstarch step is great for if you want an extra layer of crispy “skin” on the tofu which I highly recommend #vegan #plantbased #tofu #tofurecipe #veganrecipes
