Overview

The island state of Tasmania, known affectionately by Australians as “Tassie”, is located just south of Victoria. Its capital, Hobart, is now attracting a large number of Australian and international visitors who are craving the ultimate wilderness escape mixed with great food and wine. Hobart is also home to the groundbreaking Mona (the Museum of Old and New Art) and a constant parade of new bars and restaurants, while plans are afoot for a cable car up to the city’s highest natural vantage point, kunanyi/Mount Wellington.

Kunanyi / Mt Wellington is a wilderness experience just a 20-minute drive from Hobart.

The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) is an incredibly unique art museum - expect the unexpected during your visit.

Set in the foothills of South Hobart beneath Mt. Wellington you'll find the oldest operating brewery in Australia, Cascade Brewing Co.

Salamanca Place is a precinct of Hobart, famous for the Salamanca Markets.
