This article is sponsored by Scape

Did you know your student status can give you exclusive access to an enormous range of discounts? 💸

To help you master your money-saving skills, we have put together a list of our favourite little-known student discounts in Australia. Whether you’re going out for a feast with friends, to treating yourself to a new pair of shoes, with these student discounts you can maximise your budget – and, more importantly, your time – to make your uni life more affordable.

How do I get student discounts?

Well… by being a student! As an international student studying in Australia, you will probably be given some sort of student ID, usually in the form of a card. Sometimes, accessing student discounts can be as easy as showing one of these cards to the cashier before payment. In some cases, you may need a registered student email account with ‘.edu’ at the end. You can always ask store staff or have a quick search of a business’ website to see if they offer any deals for students.

Miscellaneous

UNiDAYS

Have you downloaded the UNiDAYS app on your phone yet? If not, get onto it! This app will help you get online student discounts quickly and easily. Best of all, UNiDAYS is free and all you need is your student email address to sign up. UNiDAYS offers a huge range of deals, from big brands in fashion, lifestyle, and technology, such as ASOS, the ICONIC, and even Apple!

Student Beans

Similar to UNiDAYS, Student Beans works as the central hub for heaps of student discounts that are tailor-made for your life in Australia! Want to know what freebies you can get on your birthday? You might be able to find some gems in their blog section!

As a student, you get 10 per cent off if you shop online at ASOS. ASOS is great for stocking up on affordable basics, and the site features an excellent range of gifts if you need something for an upcoming birthday. Get your discount code through the ASOS student validation form, or you can get the code if you sign up to be a UNiDAYS or Student Beans member.

THE ICONIC

Stocking both Australian and international brands, THE ICONIC is the perfect online store to keep up with the latest trends. The items available on THE ICONIC tend to be a little more expensive than other online retailers, such as ASOS, but the site offers a great opportunity to support local Aussie fashion and accessory brands, and you can filter your searches through their ‘Considered Edit’ to find sustainable options. THE ICONIC provides a 10 per cent off discount for all UNiDAYS members, so be sure to sign up using your student email address to save some coin.
