Also some visitors that had plans to come during this year and their visas won't last until next year. What is the possibility for these students and visitors. COEs can be change, institutions are being flexible, agents are working double time to attend these issues. Any possibility to have an automatic time extension for these visas. Thank you! What decisions has the embassy made for students with an approved visa and who were unable to travel on the dates of the visa granted, due to the closure of borders by COVID 19? 2. In the case of being able to travel before the end of the date of the granted visa, what is the recommended procedure that we must follow to be able to finish our studies? 3. What does the Australian government recommend to us so that we do not lose the money invested in the visa or pay an extra amount in case we cannot travel before the end of our visa date? MY CASE: I have a subclass 500 student visa approved in March 2020. The student visa corresponds to the period of the English course I pay and I still want to study in Brisbane. The visa is dated from April to November of the year 2020. I had everything ready to travel on April 1, but I had to cancel due to the situation of COVID 19 and for what I currently know, it is likely that I can travel only until September. My husband is studying as Ph.D. candidate in Melbourne as a student VISA, so me and my family is staying in here. Currently, I got a job in Singapore and I will probably move to there soon with me and my baby (my husband still stay in here for his Ph.D). I am understanding the state of the pandemic of Covid-19 in Australia and over the World. Nevertheless, I believe that it’s the best way for my family that my husband helps me set up(ex. Finding rent house, childcare centre and etc) in the new location because we have a toddler girl. Specially, the best way of my toddler baby stays with her father in a strange environment in order to adopting the emotional stability. In this case, I would like to ask you more detail of questions my husband as follow. 1. Can my husband travels to Singapore and come back to Melbourne? 2. If it is possible, what he has to prepare for coming back to Melbourne and will he need to self-isolate for 14 days at home? 3. Could my family keep our VISA? Thank you. However, the travel restrictions were put in place, and he was unable to return (still hasn't). The government has a 6 month time for students to apply for a Post Study Work Visa 485.
