Respected Sir/Madam,
I got my students visa for Australia on 19th March 2020 and the travel ban started on 20th March. My semester was suppose to begin on 25th of July. I waited for almost 3 months before deferred my semester, and now I will be be joining the university on Feb 2021.

I'm still very depressed and in a lot of tention, if Australia will exempt students from this travel ban. My time is being wasted a lot and I have invested everything I have to my studies in Australia.
When can students expect to travel?
Regards,
Osama Khan

I went through the changes Australian Government did in student visa for COVID19 pandemic on 20th July 2020.
I had some doubts which I wanted to inquire for.
Let me tell you about myself that I am an international student would have started the Masters course through Mid year 2020 intake from the esteemed university "The University of Melbourne" , due to the corona virus pandemic situation I am still in India . I have done all the admission process except student visa filing and will start my online course from 4th August 2020 and will join the on campus study when the travel restrictions will be lifted .
As mentioned in the reformed international student visa updates that "Current student visa holders studying online outside Australia will get the benefit of post study work rights without facing any kind of problems". Can you bring me clarity that student like me studying 2nd semester 2020 online will also get this facility or not.

I lost my job and I don’t have money and accommodation. I applied for student fund and got $500 but I used it for paying rent and bills.
My family lives in Sydney and I can’t travel there because of the restrictions.

I don’t have a place to live. I need accommodation till the border opens up. I called every helpline number and the DHHS too. SalvoCrisis also denied that they don’t provide accommodation for international students. What should I do? Please help me out.

I’m currently in Argentina. I was supposed to start my studies on July, but I had to defer them until March 2021. I already have an approved visa for the original period, so with what the government has recently announced I will be able to apply for a further visa free of charge for the new period? How will this process be?

Hi, I am currently taking up a postgraduate degree at UQ. I flew to Australia at the start of Semester 1 2020. However, my temporary residence there was interrupted on the 24th of March as I was forced to fly back home to the Philippines due to the covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, I still continued my studies via online delivery until the end of the semester (July 2020). I am exploring the option of studying part-time while I'm away because I feel like I wouldn’t be getting my tuition fee’s worth if I will just be receiving my learning online. My question is: is it possible to continue my studies through online delivery but with less courses or units than what a full-time student would take? This would mean that my visa would probably have to be extended by 1 semester. Also, if the visa extension is granted, it would mean that when I fly back to Australia, there would be at least 1 semester in which I would do a part-time study.

Thank you

hello sir/madam,
I am an international student currently living in Sydney. I am enrolled in one of the prestigious University of Australia and has a limited time COE ( course end date) but due to the sensitivity of the course I got enrolled, I may need a semester break for understanding the real-world applications of the course which I am studying. I am enrolled in a bachelor of IT with a major in software development. Because of the complexity of the course, I found uneasy to learn/study via online since many of the units I wanted to enrol are practically based units. I consulted with my university about it but they say it's an immigration's policy to enrol every semester compulsorily. Is this true and compulsory for the international student to enrol in each and every semester even though the students want to take time understanding the course they are pursuing? Look forward to your reply.
Thank you.

I applied for my master's degree at University of Sydney and found out I got in! So very excited for this opportunity but I'm a little nervous about obtaining my visa. Financially it's feasible but would I be allowed to go in the next month if the program starts in September? I asked about deferring until February but I haven't heard back yet. Would appreciate any guidance or advice at all thank you!!!

I have got multiple question. To begin with I first want to thanks home affairs for granting my visas. I came in Australia in Feb and then the next day was my orientation and then the enrollment and so on and finally university classes began but just for 3 days and 2 hours per day. I had started exploring things and everything was so new from teaching systems to food habits and everything. For an international student it is really difficult to get used to this environment and meanwhile there came Corona virus and ruined everything. Every schemes, every reliefs provided by government is I am very thankful for that too. Do you expect that an international student coming over and would get a job just in a month ? If so please provide because I am still jobless. I have submitted my resumes to number of places and doing follow up with everyone I can the answer is just one we do not require anyone for now if there is any requirement we'll let you know. So where the hell should I go if no one is hiring me how will I get any experience and also a big question how will I earn, how will continue my daily activities? All the reliefs provided are for the people who had job and lost the one, Now tell me what is my mistake if one is not hiring me ? Is that my fault.? My parents have been supporting me through all this months but they also their breaking point, their saturation level. You might be knowing the situation of India right now they also lots of pressure and till what time they keep on managing things they have invested on me for some fruitful reason not for spending more and more money. I am in the situation where even I can not go back to my home country as situation there over is also very critical. I don't know what should I be doing. Secondly I have also applied for rent relief and there is no responses and the agent is like we have already reduced the price and all. Now where a person should go like me ? I am in such a situation where so many help are available but I cannot utilize them if its a financial or anything. Thirdly about University they are also rigid about not lowering any amount for fees. Even though everything is available online then too as per the current situation they should lower some amount. Please consider my request and try to help me. Due to this kind of situation I am mentally so stressed and even not able to concentrate on my studies and no job no money nothing, to be honest I also get failed in one of unit because this stress and all tension. I beg you to help me out and even I don't know which platform is suitable to talk to and pass on information about the struggle through which I am going now and I am sure that there would be many students like me who are helpless and might in this situation. Please help me ,Please consider my request and guide me.

Kind Regards,
Purva
