I’m now enrolled in the Master of professional accounting degree at the University of Sydney. It’s a 2-year program started from August 5th 2019 to July 21st 2021. It’s been one year now and I changed my degree from MPA to Master of Commerce by reapplying for the graduate school at the University of Sydney. MOC is also a 2-year program. Now my school has offered me the Coe indicates that the course starts on August 24th 2020 and ends on July 21st 2022. My visa should be changed depending on my enrollment in the university. Under the current circumstances, my visa needs to be extended for me to finish the MOC program in future 2 years. Could I ask what my next step would be to change my visa status? Thank you.

- In case my student visa will be expired on 10 Aug but my course has to be postponed as effect by the lockdown to 4 Sep. Am I eligible for aforementioned staying?

Hello,
I was a student of Deakin University, Burwood pursuing Masters Of Business Analytics. I'm currently in India(Hyderabad) and my visa expires on 30th of August, 2020. Since the flights are going to commence only from 5th of September 2020 and I cannot travel at this moment. How can I extend my visa? I have gone through the "international.students@dese.gov.au" and even home affairs but couldn't find the relevant information in regards to my situation. Any leads would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

1) Financial Hardship, nearly no income since late March
I work in fashion retail.
2) Only able to cover the coming 2 month tuition fee, not able to pay for the next year course
3) Saving not enough to buy the extremely expensive flight ticket to return home
4) no national assistance from my hometown, Hong Kong
5) feel unsecured and unsafe on returning to H.K. due to the political situation and how China broke the agreement with the UK and HK gov.
6) slightly depressed from this mess

I wish one of the below options can work out, please give me assistance:
Idea 1: Suspension on study from Oct
Idea 2: AU gov pays for the coming tuition
Idea 3: Cancel the student visa and replaced by a new visa which allow me to wait for the good time of further action

Thank you so much for your time first!

Many thanks and regards,
Kiki

Bula , I am a student who is currently completing my final semester for a Diploma in Engineering (Electrical) and I would like to get a scholarship to do a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering programme. Apart from the pandemic that we are facing now, is it still possible to get a scholarship to study now in Australia? If so, how do I go about getting one?
Thank you.
Kind regards

My name is Madlyne, I am a 26 years old French woman and I have been living in Australia for about 2 years now. After 2 Working Holiday Visa, I have been granted a Student Visa in May 2020 (that will end in 2022, but most likely to be extended as my Studies will probably end in 2024). I am passionate about dance, and this is why I'm enrolled in a Certificate II, III and IV in Dance and Dance Teaching.

Recently with the COVID 19 situation my life has become so hard, I have been losing my 2 jobs and I can't get any support for anywhere (wether it's home or government) I am staying with my girlfriend and her parents which I am grateful for, but I can't stay there indefinitely and I have no incomes, but I still have bills to pay, and my school and my mental health is killing me... I just can't go on anymore I feel so worthless because it's so hard to find a job... Although I have my girlfriend and her parents that are taking care of me like their own child I just feel so alone and I don't want to pressure them or worry them so I just burry all my feelings...

Hi,
I had to start my PhD in Griffith university in April,2020 Intake. I was already granted the student visa and was just to book my flight ticket when lockdown happened. Now the university has already deferred my admission two times and now i am due to start in October, 2020. I wanted to ask are their any chances of opening of australian borders for international students by then? or should i apply for further deferral? or should i start my program online? Any insightful suggestion would be immensely helpful.
Thanks.

Hy, I am an international student from Nepal residing here in Melbourne. It's a time of global pandemic and hardships. It's been 5 months since I arrived here in Australia. From the start, it has been a hard time settling down here because of covid. Its so hard to survive here as Australian government doesn't care about international student. It's a genuine human nature to help eachother at the time of hardships but no-one is there to look after us international student.

Dear concern,
I am planning to apply for PhD in University of Queensland. The authorities are not accepting international students application due to travel band to Australia. As government has already been planning to reopen the border for international traveler, will it also allow international students to apply for graduation in UQ?

Best
